Ok, I saw this list: [http://tv.channel.aol.com/greatestamerican](http://tv.channel.aol.com/greatestamerican)
It’s so freaking politicized. Ronald Reagan is the greatest american? Over Abraham Lincoln? What are Dr Phil and John Edwards doing there?

Let’s see who Kirupians think are the greatest Americans. I know there’s a lot of internationals here (I’m so not American), but most of us have lived in the US for a long time. Maybe we’ll do a world list later.

**How to Nominate:**
Reply to this thread with ONE nomination, and include a Wikipedia Entry along with a couple of sentences with your reasons.

After a couple of days, I will narrow the list down with as much impartiality as possible, and we’ll put this to a vote.

This nomination thread is not intended for debate, you’re not allowed to knock other people’s nominations. If it gets out of hand, I will kill this thread.

\*by the way, I deleted the other thread 😉
