# Knowing when FLV hits certain point

Hi,

Is there a way to keep track when an FLV hits a certain point in its playback WITHOUT using cue points? If so, how is this implemented and does it make the experience sluggish? I have a custom video player (NOT the FLVplayback component) so I need a custom solution…
