# Linkage prolem

Hi,

I have a little problem that the first frame of my swf file is really heavy due to action script linkage from the library. Any preloader I have done takes so long to display itself that it only becomes visible after 50% of the entire file is loaded.

I’ve tried preloading it externally but it loses half of it’s functions if I do that.

Someone suggested I uncheck the “export in first frame” option in linkage which has helped a lot but my first frame still holds a third of the file’s weight.

Any suggestions on how to get the linkage weight down further or make the externally loaded swf function properly?

I would really appreciate any ideas.
