# Linking movieclip to movieclip

hi… i have a movie clip thats loaded into another movieclip…

in the first movie clip there is:

```
     - scene 1
     - symbol 1 

```

from symbol 1 of the fist movieclip… i loaded another movieclip

in the second movie clip there is:

```
     -scene 1
     -symbol 1

```

wat i would like to do… .is direct an action from symbol 1 of the second movie clip to the symbol 1 of the first movieclip…

i tried using \_root and \_parent but those do not work… how do i link up the the first movie clip’s symbol 1?
