# Linking to pdf files in Flash 5 CD ROm project

I am currewntly working on a CD Rom interface using Flash 5. My problem is that I want to link to some pdf files directly without using the “get url” command. What happnes is that the pdf files are opening into a browser window which is not what I want. I want them to open using acrobat reader. Is there a way to specify a path to the files without using the “get url” command.

unfortunately, no.
what is happening, is that the .pdf is associated with the browser to look for the acrobat player. there is no way that I know of to get around this.
