# List class? (XML in AS3 tutorial)

Hi from a newcomer/old lurker. I just read through the great tutorial on [Using XML in CS3/AS3](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flashcs3/using_xml_as3_pg1.htm), really nice work, thank you.

In referring to the XMLList object, the article mentions “a standard List”, or “standard List operations”.

My question… is List a new class in AS3? Or an interface (like in Java)?

Excellent tutorials, articles, forum. Nice place you got here… 🙂
