# Listening to a Variable

Hey All,

Is it possible to create an event listener that listens to a variable and calls the defined function anytime that variable changes?

This seems as though it would be a fairly common practice, but I have been hard pressed to find any documentation on the matter, especially in Actionscript 3.0.
