# Little help with XML & Flash menus?

Hi,

I’ve seen the actual tutorial on Kirupa about [XML-Driven Drop-Down Menu](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/xml_dropdown_menu.htm) but I think its a little advanced for me, since I dont understand the part about making flash get the XML info. I do understand XML part of the tutorial since is easy to get used to it.

What I was wondering is if someone can either help me with an example or give me a link to another tutorial about joining XML and Flash toguether.

Also I dont really understand how are the layers set in the tutorial, since its like one layer and objects apart. The tutorial is great, but I think it would be even greater if it touches less technical issues and does a step by step guide, so we all can understand it.
