# Load external stats

Hi!

I want to have a visitor counter on my page. I have a page with stats, where i can see how many people have visited my site. I know i can load external data into my flash site, but is it possible to load that into my flash site? the stats on my site requires password, so i dont know if its possible. Please tell my how, or tell me if there is a easyer way…

If you want a counter, you’re going to need to use a server side script in a language like PHP or ASP, etc. Do a search on ‘counter’ Jubba and Ahmed have written a bunch of threads with scripts in PHP that I use and that should also explain how to load in variables as well.
