# Load movie problems

Hi all,  
I always make sure I d a search before I ask and I found things hinting at my problem but no answers to it.  
I have a main.swf  
In this main .swf I have a button that you click  
This button loads portfolio.swf into an empty movie clip called container  
This works on my computer but does not show on my site.

Does this problem sound familiar?

The thing I have noticed is that on the status bar ir shows information transfer when I click the button butnothing displays on my movie. If you visit www.zephn.com you should be able to click on a square and a photograph with a sub menu appear. If it does nto you see my current problem.

It shows up for me, maybe because I’m on a cable connection and it loaded fast. You need to add a preloader to the external swf or else it won’t load right away for you.

the portfolio swf must be quite large. It doesn’t show up right away and you don’t have a preloader showing it’s progress like you do with the main site. I’d suggest trying to reduce the size of the portfolio swf and adding a preloader to it. I’m using a 128kb connection and there was a considerable delay. I love your menu system though… nice little rotation thing going on!

I actually have a preloader in that external swf it just doesn’t show up for some reason ☹ I was going to ask that one later.  
Maybe I’ll try a different one
