# Load XML attribute using getDate

Howdy folks,

I’ve tried, believe me I’ve tried, to find an answer, but just can’t seem to get it.

Here’s an example of my XML:

```auto
<theDate>
    <day dayNumber="22" dayText="here's some text for the 22nd" />
    <day dayNumber="23" dayText="here's some text for the 23rd" />
    <day dayNumber="24" dayText="here's some text for the 24th" />
    <day dayNumber="25" dayText="here's some text for the 25th" />
    <day dayNumber="26" dayText="here's some text for the 26th" />
</theDate>

```

Pretty much, all I’m trying to do is, using getDate, find the correct dayNumber and load that dayText into a dynamic text field.

Any help given would really make my weekend. Thanks in advance.
