# Loading a variable to make buttons visible

so im trying to load a .txt file with a variable to tell a button to become visible and of course im here asking why its not working. Im sure theres a way to do it with xml but, i already have a php script that takes any amount of variables that i post to the .txt file. any one have a solution? im hurting for help.
