Sry for asking this again, but I never got to the bottom of this. How can I link a CD EXE from a link without getting that annoying prompt of weather I want to open file or save from current location. I can’t have people dling a 95 meg exe everytime they want to view it. Thanks ---

thats eyez, imma look into it but… i cant believe that there isn’t a command in some scripting language that will let you do what i want! grr ---

are you trying to open the exe from a browser-embedded swf? ---

ummm well actually my Flash nav is built upon an xml file. so the linking is in xml, but i can do it any way, it doesnt matter as long as it works… ---

no, what i meant is, is the link called from a projector (swf.exe), or is it called from within a browser by the flash plug-in, is your swf html embedded that is?? if so, the browser handles the request, and it’s normal that, as .exe is not a filetype it can handle itself, it asks what you wanna do with it, download or open… so try from either an swf (supposes user has the flash player installed that comes with the standard flash install automatically, but could be provided with the cd (download at Macromedia), or make a standalone .exe from your swf (in the player, click “create projector” or whatever it was) and try with that…
