# Loading external text with "loadVariablesNum"

When I load an external text with “loadVariablesNum”, Flash replaces some characters into a square p.e. é and ë. I tried to replace these characters in the .txt file with é and ë but then Flash doesn’t load the full text.  
Is there anyone who can help me with this?
