# Loading external utf-8 .txt file problems

i am loading chinese and english .txt files saved with utf-8 encoding in notepad into flash without problems. however, when there is an “&” in the content, the rest of the text after the “&” will disappear… when i change it to “and” and everything is ok. problem is when it comes to client’s company names such as Barry & Barry or Joan & David… where the “&” is unavoidable, i get really stuck… can anyone help?
