# Loading issues with XML slideshow

Howdy

I’ve been working on a slideshow based on the tutorial at [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/xml\_slideshow.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/xml_slideshow.htm)

I wanted to change the transition to a wipe, so i added a block of colour that moves over the images at the transition.

Everything works fine on my offline version, because there is little or no load time for the images. however, once the slideshow is online the transition occurs before the image is loaded, which is a bummer.

i’ve tried manipulating the code to make the image load ahead of the transition but i’m stuck.
