# Loading swf into swf and access vars from level0?

I want swf-A to load swf-B but then I want swf-B to call a function defined on swf-A.

in AS2.0 all I would need to do is put **\_level0.functionName(“params”);** inside swf-B

but in AS3.0 there is no \_level0 I have tried:

**MovieClip(root).refreshScroller();**  
and  
**MovieClip(stage).refreshScroller();**

neither work.

basically I am making a shell _ **AIR** _ swf which contains a scrollPane that I want to use to load any other swf and then be able to scroll the content. but I need the loaded swf to be able to tell the shell swf to update the scrollPane when the loaded swf’s content has changed size.
