This was posted at actionscript org:
Loadmovie with different FPS (frames per second)
NOW I am asking the same question because this guy never got a solution and I’m looking for one too.

Hi there.

Is there a way to make actions in a loaded movie clip stay true to the movie?

I have a swf (5 FPS) 60 frame slide show with navigation controls called ‘slide.swf’. I have a button in ‘main.swf’ (20 FPS) thats loads this movie onto the stage.

When the movie plays inside the main movie it loses all its navigation controls and plays at parent movie FPS. Most AS on slide.swf targets \_parent. for the nextframe and playmovie actions.

Is there a way to make actions in a loaded movie clip stay true to the movie?
