Wanted to get some input on a project I am running. I am building an Apollo/Flex/Web application that will be using (obviously) some sort of service layer and a database.

A few key points:
[_]will need to be able to handle multiple transactions daily (could have a huge user base if it takes off)
[_]needs to be easily scalable
[\*]application access via various mediums (at home, in store kiosk, pda, Wii)
I am a Flex developer so I have limited experience with Ruby on Rails and MySQL. So I have been investigating the following technologies. Would like your input please.

Thanks,
Justin
