Hey i just did that preloader, Lost’s tut, its all good till i test the preloader!! the movie aint that big, when i test the preloader, it wont show till at least 22 kb have loaded!! how come?? :q: ---

Probably because the preloader is loading itself, and its 22kb big. I think ? ---

but im only using text as an animation, so it cant be that!! :bandit: ---

Are you loading anything in Frame 0? That is to say… do you have anything in your library set to “Export for Actionscript” in your library? Also… if you are using components from Macromedia, they load in Frame 0 as well, this counts with the Scrollbar Component which has a whopping 82 symbols to beef up your file size. ---

Cool 🙂 Yeah, those default components sure beef up that stuff. The scrollbar component alone is 82 symbols, and things like the listbox and such use that component combined with the listbox itself… so thats even more. The push button is the same way, so I say create your own button… there is no point to the push button component! At least the scrollbar component saves a lot of scripting, but thats about it.
