I’m looking for feedback on our image zooming tool for Flash:

> **[Increase engagement and sales with this phenomenal image zoom!](https://www.magictoolbox.com/magiczoomplus/)**
>
> Zoom images on hover or click. The best JavaScript image zoom script for HTML websites, a true masterpiece! Works with or without jQuery. Try it now.

Do you like it? What would you change to make it better?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Looks like a straight rip of the example files that Braingiants used to have online. :thumb:

Never heard of Braingiants! We first released Magic Magnify in August 2006. Now we’re looking for ideas for improving it 🙂

@MagicToolbox
Anogar, is usually the guy around here that will catch you if you are ripping some one else off. It could be that you and braingaints just happened to make the same thing.
I think if you had the scroll wheel set up to zoom in on the entire image, that would be cool as well.

It’s a pretty basic idea, I’m not saying they ripped them off, it’s just that it’s a little funny to sell something that you can get free elsewhere.

Bloody hell, that magnify effect has been around for absolute years, ever since I started using flash. You’d also be able to get the same thing free, fairly easily.

Charging for that is a bit of a pisstake to be honest.

how about making it less expensive. it’s 15 euro, that makes it over $30 american. no WAY i’m paying for that when it’s available [here for $5.](http://www.flashden.net/item/strongmagnifierstrong/346)

a 3 line magnifier code is not worth 15-30 bucks my man!

also, why not make some real useful stuff rather than improving on a function that’s been around since flash 4??? :sen:

Thanks for the constructive, ahem, critique rumblesushi 😉

Take a closer look. The thing I like most about Magic Magnify is that it is totally accessible (W3C and 508). Check out the HTML code in the \<body\>:

\<a href=“large-image.jpg” rel=“zoom-color: #ffffff; size: 150px; type: circle” class=“MagicMagnify”\>\<img src=“small-image.jpg” alt="" width=“400” height=“233”/\>\</a\>

There is no JavaScript or swf embed code within the \<body\>. It’s just clean HTML. If the browser does not support JavaScript, the small image displays as normal and the large image opens as a link. It is AAA compliant.

@ajcates - thanks for the suggestion of zooming on scroll. I like that. It might need dragability too.

@hamm - what really useful stuff are you thinking of? We’re up for it 🙂
