# Making a highscore table (linking to database) help please!

I’m attempting to make a hangman style game for a local school and they want it on CD rather than online. In the game they want me to include a high score table. I’m unsure of how to go about this, I’m assuming I’ll have to link to a database?

As I’ll be launching the game off CD will I still be able to use PHP&mySQL (I haven’t used these before) or is there another way to go about it??
