# Making a multiplayer

Alright, so i was considering making a multiplayer game, that would be done in real time. I read my Flash Gaming book and it suggested i use a XML socket server.

Are there any other options for flash programs where users are constantly sending input and output to other users?

Preferably something i would not be keeping open on my desktop, but on my website. maybe wiht php?

flash gaming demystified recommended the eletroserver, but the demo version only allows five people to be connected ☹

I don’t want to pay money so it doesn’t look like i’llbe using flashcom…

I guess i’ll get my hands dirty with some php then 🙂
