# Making an embedded scroller work

Hi all!  
I’m trying to load a movie (with scrolling text loaded from an external text file) inside a target movie clip. For some reason, the scroller movie works fine when it’s an independent file but when it’s loaded inside a target movie clip the text doesn’t get loaded from the text file.  
I’ve attached the files for reference.

I noticed that when I load the movie on a level, it works just fine but the problem arises only when I load it inside a target movie clip. Since I’m a novice in Flash, I’d really like to know what I’m doing wrong… :book:
