# Making buttons appear

Hi, I’m having problems making my buttons appear. I have imported a graphic that I have covering the entire frame. I want to make a button on top of that. But when I try to draw my square button, it disappears behind it.
I tried to do Modify \> Arrange \> Send to Back or Send Backward, but it doesn’t work. And I’m not able to send forward the button. The option is greyed out. Any suggestions?

If it’s not grouped, and just a raw filled shape, it will always fall behind a grouped object or a raster image (like a .jpg) even if it’s on the same layer. So either create a new layer above and draw on that, or draw off to the side of your main image, group (or make a symbol) and then bring it back to the top.
