# Making flash stop and go with spacebar

Hello,  
I was just wondering if anyone could help me make flash stop and then go when you press the space bar  
i tried to stop  
and then go to  
functions but i dont think i did it right.  
please help

You can catch the event like that:

```auto
on (keyPress "<Space>") {
    trace ("Space pressed");
}

```

Then all you have to do is make it stop or play.

Edit: Between the quotes, you must put \< Space \> without the space between \< and Space (weird sentence…)
