Hi friends, i made a dynamic newsticker. each news item is loaded from one text file and it keeps scrolling. everything is fine. This is a small ticker which loads in bigger swf area. Now the problem is, i need to show only one news at a time and i.e. only that will be active. for this i m puting a mask for that much area. but when i put the mask the news disappears. is it possible to show dynamic text through a mask ? Thanks in advance… ---

Hi Ahmed, Thanks for your timely help. Its working now by embeding the fonts outline. But i m losing the font sharpness. anything to rectify this? ---

if you’re using a pixel font, make sure the textfield resides at whole coordinates (i.e x:5.5, y:10.9 wouldn’t work, must be x:6, y:11) 🙂 ---

yes claudio, text is blurry. ahmed, x is 0 and y is 0 but its still its blurry… and its not supporting the html tags also. i have news heading in \\ which disappears. only the outside text prints which is blurry ---

Are u using font size multiple of 8? Which code are u using to enable html? ---

sorry claudio, i went out for lunch. and font size is 10. I cant use 8 as it ll be very small and 16 ll be very large. ---

Try changin font sixe to 8 and check if it is still blurry ---

ahmed, i believe only b tag is not supporting. whatever comes between is disappearing. font, br etc. works fine. i am searching to forum for - masking html text. i hope i ll get solution. thanks Ahmed ---
