# Masking component

Hi all,

I’m trying to use the newsblock component from [flashcomponents.net](http://flashcomponents.net) ([http://www.flashcomponents.net/components/preview/preview.php?id=376](http://www.flashcomponents.net/components/preview/preview.php?id=376))  
with a mask. However this does not work. As soon as I put the component on a masked layer it won’t work anymore. Got it up and running fine without the mask.

Found the tutorial on this site about masking dynamic text and device fonts. Just what I needed. Great tutorial!
