# Masking effect with .jpeg

Now that’s a masking effect right? I know how to do it with static text? But if you zoom in…you could obviously see the pixelated text (meaning it’s a jpeg).

How was this effect done?

I am sure there are a few ways of doing this…

here’s a possibility, 'cause Im not sure it was a mask (but it couldhave been).

text blurred (phothoshop or your favorite)  
a white rectangle (feathered and blurred) ABOVE the text and moving in a loop OVER the text. No need for a mask if you’re gonna do it that way.
