masking-outlining effect

Hi, im new at this forum and would like help on something. I am trying to make a mask where the letter is being outlined, kind of a cut out. Heres what i have but i cant get the mask right, please help. (btw i dont want the letter to be seen, just a line shaping into the letter…)

Tips: Have you converted the line into shape? I haven’t download your file, but this is my first guess.

Can you describe more what you want to do? What is the cut-out effect you are going for?

Here’s my example.

It’s not exactly what you where looking for but you can tweak it to your liking. 😉

the effect is similar to the leaf being outlined at [http://www.canadianskydivecenter.com/](http://www.canadianskydivecenter.com/) and [http://www.laserlife.com.tw/](http://www.laserlife.com.tw/) also
