Does anybody know if it is possible to have more than one (motion tween) movie clip object running on a mask layer?
I have tried a few experiments but cannot seem to get this to work.
Is is best to have separate layers for each masking object?

You should be able to drag more than one layer under a mask. Just like you would put layers into a folder, you can move them under a mask. You’d have to have a movie clip on each layer, of course…

in mx you can have movieclips as dynamic masks… you can use one of those and animate within that movieclip
