# Masks under Motion Guides?

Is this possible? I need to mask out parts of a movie that follows a mation guide, but when I try to mask out a section with a square on the layer above the mask option isn’t available.

convert the animation with the motion guide a movieclip and then mask the movieclip!

Yeah that’s what I ended up doing, but I guess it’s not possible to do it within the actual movie right?
