ok, i know there is most likely only one way to do this, but i need make sure i exhaust all possibities before i do that one. here’s my problem:
i made a portfolio flash site for a photographer, i posted the .swf and all the other files, i was about to back-up the fla, and my harddrive crashes. i used a disk recovery program to get the info back, but the fla for this guy’s site must have been damaged and it’s not unreadable. this wouldn’t be such a big issue, if i hadn’t incorrectly linked his email address in the fla. since all i have is the swf, the only thing i can do to make that one little correction is redo the whole site right? is there some magic way that i am over looking?

There are .swf decompilers I believe that can restore the .fla and all of the symbols, layers and junk.
I dont have any experience with them but I know they exist. a google search is my only advice.
