# Missing Thumbnails/XML Gallery Question

Hey all! New to the forum and I have a question on the ever popular XML Thumbnail Gallery tutorial. I’m using a modified .FLA from Scotty (I believe) in order to make the thumbnails scroll vertically. When I preview the HTML using the sample XML file, it works perfectly. However, when I substitute my own XML file, none of my thumbnails load. And, yes, I do have the files in the same directory. Any ideas? I’ve attached a zip containing both the FLA and the XML data.

I also have a separate question: is there a way to split the scroll bar and the image loader into separate flash documents which reference the same XML file? If you check out the site I’m working on [http://www.cdsinstyle.com/about.html](http://www.cdsinstyle.com/about.html) , what I’m trying to do is load the vertical thumbnails in the left hand “bar” and have the full-size images load in the main body to the right. What would be the best way to go about this?
