Very. I’ve already received about four of these things, and all unsolicited. 😠 They’ve been of the ‘text to win’ kind, and it’s frankly an insult to my intelligence that they think I’m going to fall for that. :sigh: ---

I am gettin loads now!!!, i am very excited thinking ooooohhh a txt i look and then i get this spam rubbish. I’ve had the same one 6 times saying this is the second time they tried to contatc me, ermm can they count, if they gonna try a con at least make it plausible. I got one which was u have a secret admirer txt us at this £10 per txt line to find out who!! lol it shoudlnt be allowed to a mobile or to the fax at home which keeps runnin out of paper cause of such spam :trout: to the spammers!! ---

Those scratch things annoy me too (now I think about it, I have a whole list of pet hates)… Call this number to see what you’ve won - A timeshare villa, a holiday, a new car… Nope, you’ve won a pen. 😱 There’s got to be some people who fall for it… I caught Watchdog or something a few weeks ago, where kids have been receiving these mobile spam messages. They (rather naively) replied to them to enter these competitions, and were surprised when it cost them an arm and a leg… ---

for some reason, people keep spamming my cell, with messages like “Nice site man…” how are they doing that, it’s beyond my imagination… 🙂 But seriously, somehow… once a month or so, I get an email about congresional notices… its weird. ---

The problem begins to really surface when you are charged to get this junk on your phone. The reason tele-marketing is legal is because it does not cost you money to get calls at home. However this is not the case with some cell phone users. I get charged to receive a text message on my phone. $.10 each message. Sure I could get the unlimited message plan for five buck more a month, but I am not going to pay for spammers to send me messages. There is a US law that may come into play here, it is the law that makes it illegal to fax ads to people since it costs the receiver money (paper, toner, etc) to get the ad. I see no difference here. Bottem line, if this starts happening to me I will disable text messages on my phone. If that is not an option, time for a new provider. =) Cheers! -Niann ---

In Tokio you can be walking around and you get adds on your color phone! But they have good deals. Like say I were to walk by a shoe store and I just so happended to be looking on my cell phone, I could just get a deal for the store, like a deal ONLY for people with cell phones! So when people are like walking around in tokio they look at their cell phone. ---

we used to get soooo much “you’ve won a million dollars” junk mail untill one day my mom got really sick of them and decided to call them. she said “i’m calling cause i won a million dollars” and the lady was like “well you can enter the sweepstakes, etc. etc” so my mom started yelling at the lady saying something to the effect of “but i was planning on a vacation, a new house and car, and all that stuff and you’re telling me you won’t give me my money” and then she was like “this is very disappointing, don’t ever do that again” and she hung up. we don’t get that kind of junk mail anymore. ---

Your mom is frightening. I hardly ever get much mail, even junk mail, most of the spam I get is knock off viagra herbal supplements. ---

I get tons of \*\*\*\*o spams…it sucks…because I’d be in school checking my e-mail, a title called “Hey” would come up, but then the From is just a firstname that I know of. Once I open it on the school’s T1 connection, it’s not like 56k where you can stop it half way when it’s still loading and move on, it just pops right up and it’s quite scary at school. ---
