# More ram for Macbook Pro

I need another gig for my Macbook pro. Can I just get some from newegg and put it in or do I need to send it back to apple? I have done zero research so far so thanks for any info. The slowness of my macbook pro is driving me insane. It is really pushing me back toward being a PC guy again. I’m hoping I can get things worked out because I really love OSX and apple’s innovation.
