# mouseOver text color change

I have a map along with a list of objects in the map next to it. I would like to have it where the text and the matching object in the map both are links to a new frame. I want to have it so that when you mouse over the text or the object in the map that both the text and the objects outline change color.

I have tried to set up both together as a button but having text as a button always seems to have problems with the hit area. It only occurs on the boarder of the hit space and not in it. I have also tried to set it up as a movie clip where one frame is not mouse over and another is mouse over, but I cant seem to get the script right, it always pops back and forth between the 2 frames.

I am going nuts because I feel this is something that should be easy, I see text changing color on mouseOver all the time. Any ideas???
