# Movie and the oversize hittest

Please look at the attached file. When drawing a non polygon figure and converting it to a movie clip symbol the boundaries of that symbol form a polygon thereby increasing the size of the movieclip symbol. When using this in a hittest scenario the hittest is triggered by the movieclip’s frame and not the nonpolygon figure that it contains.

For example, doing a hittest with the letter “s”. Please see the attached file.

Is there a way around this.:pirate3:
