# Movie Clip as a Button problem

Hello,

I’ve built a menu out of movie clips (so that they have a glow fade-in / fade-out effect when the mouse rolls on and off). The details of how the menu was built are from this tutorial: [http://www.toxiclab.org/tutorial.asp?ID=85](http://www.toxiclab.org/tutorial.asp?ID=85)

I’m having problems using the OnRelease , GoTo+Play commands on each movie clip. I’m on the stage (with the movieclip selected) when I put in the code to go to a certain frame, but it seems to send the movieclip to that frame of it’s internal timeline, when I just want to jump to the main stage timeline from clicking on the movieclip…

Changing the movieclip to a button makes the AS command jump to the main stage timeline like I want, BUT it stops the movie clip glowing and fading when the mouse moves over ![](http://www.ultrashock.com/forums/images/us/smilies/cry.gif)

if anyone could help I would be VERY grateful. In the .fla I am trying to have it so that by clicking on the home button the page goes to frame 6.
