# Movie shoot locations

Ok I am just wondering if people (Americans) are used to seeing locations they know in movies or if they are immune to it.

I.e. Since I am in Australia and never been to the US. Although I have see American locations in movies hundreds of times I have never seen them for real so they just seem like movie sets.

However when I watched the Matrix and MI:2 which were filmed in Australia, I found myself distracted when they showed locations that I had been too, and start thinking about the times that I have been there instead of watching the movie.

So what’s the deal with you, when you see locations you have been to in a movie does it distract you. Or are you immune to it having put up with it your whole life ?
