# Movieclip masks

Hello,

Just a quick question that I haven’t been able to find the answer to. If you mask one movieclip with another, do the bounds of the movieclip being masked become those of the masking movieclip? Or do they remain the same they originally were despite those parts outside of the mask not being visible?
