Of course u havent. I stopped listening to radio music a while ago. You guys, im serious, there are bands out there that will BLOW YOU AWAY and they wont ever be played on the radio. 99.9% of radio is complete garbage!. ever wonder why you hear the same song everywhere you go? its because they shove music down your throat so that you will buy their Cd’s. That doesn’t mean its quality music. most if not all popular boy bands cant do anything but dance and look pretty. they dont even know how to play an instrument. i think the concept of music has become lost in todays prefabricated nonsense type of world.
From now on i should start a weekly post of kick \*\*\* bands you’ve never heard of but are awesome. SOme of the music needs an open mind. Yours will not be used to it but remember there is Music in EVERYTHING. 🙂

one of the stations down here called KROQ mentioned Mike Paton( founder of mr bungle) one time, so my friends and i called in a million times requesting a mr Bungle song. and they finaly played an unedited Squueze me Macaroni song on the radio. Haha that was dope i think they played it a few times, cause the DJ was a fan of Bungle too.

I dont listen to many “bands” because I listen to mostly rap and hip hop. I do understand what you mean by the radio only playing certian music over and over again - but I do not agree that it is 99% garbage. There are a lot of tunes on the radio that I like, some because of the beat, others because of the feeling of the song but most of all some because of the lyrics. As a hip hop fan Lyrics mean the most to me and if someone is singing or rapping or spittin’ or whatever you want to call it good lyrics than to me it’s a great song.

my 99% is garbage didnt apply to hip hop. thats different because the whole scene is different. My comment was aimed at Avril lame and Nsucks

hey, vts31, if you dig mr. bungle you should check out
TubRing
they are some friends of mine, but mike paton produced their first album, and they are super big at this point. they just got back form touring with mindless self indulgence.
anywhoo, i really think you’d like em so check em out.

lungfish, gutter mouth, calexico, modest mouse, fugazi (very different styles among those listed here)… I could go on for hours, but if you havent heard any of those it shouldn’t be too hard to find some stuff online to check em out.
vts - youre so right in your claim that there are sooo many bands out there that would blow many peoples minds, however those many people will probably never hear them.
