# MX Download SNAFU - HELP!

Hey gang,

I downloaded an **.FLA** file from this tutorial…

…and as I opened the file Flash told me that there was an  
“ **Unexpected File Format** ”.

I am not getting any Flash in my Browser. I am getting the ‘X’ image place holder where a .SWF should be.

I proceeded to close the file and after that, all of my **.SWF** files on my machine do not show up in my HTML (browser).  
The **.SWF’s** do not show properly in Dreamweaver MX either.

The **.SWF’s** work fine individually but anything I create there after will not work in my browsers.

I have no idea what happened here.  
(other than the version I downloaded may be a later version)

[color=black]Also, I have reinstalled my current Flash MX and I have redownloaded the most current Flash Palyer.[/color]

Can anyone give me some help/insight as to why this has happened???  
(I want to make sure I do not do it again if fixed)  
I am desperate. Much work depends upon fixing this SNAFU.
