# \[MX2004\] Flash & URLs

I was wondering if anyone knows how to use a URL such as:

[www.somesite.com/pagename.htm?some\_variable=value](http://www.somesite.com/pagename.htm?some_variable=value)

and have flash detect or use the some\_variable value.

One example is MSN Messenger’s Q6 site:

[http://www.playq6.com/?lang=en&page=login](http://www.playq6.com/?lang=en&page=login)

changing the value of page (such as using page=rules, or page=howToPlay) causes the flash movie to play something different.
