# My eps image quality sucks

Hello, I took a gif… and imported it into fireworks…

Used the wand to cut off the white background.

And saved it as an png.

Then imported it into flash… now it looks like crap.

It is the picture of the 2 boys in this flash movie…

Any suggestions?

I have tried using the wand with different settings…  
But that does not seem to be the problem.

try this: go into the Library (ctrl+L) and find that picture that has bad quality, right click it, click properties. then change it from JPEG/Photo to PNG/GIF. png’s i believe are the highest quality pictures you can have in flash. hope that works 🙂

Thanks… I did not know that was there…

I changed it but it did not help… when you zoom in… it still looks really bad.

It might have something to do with the size when I imported it into flash…

It seemed bigger when I imported it into flash…  
So I had to scale it way down to make it fit the space…

My monitor resolution is like 1024 x …  
Does not look to bad when it is set high…

But for people who have 800x600 the image looks like crap.

The original gif looks ok… any idea how i can get clear crips images as png’s?

I fount the problem… but not the solution…

The problem starts when I scale the image down in flash.

Any suggestions? It looks ok when I take it out of the librayr…

But when I scale it down… it sucks!
