hi there, i’m currently working as a graphic / web designer at a small company but feel its time to move on to something bigger and better - hence I redid my portfolio. this is my 2nd site designed without using tables. is the site a bit too simple to be good enough? also i’m not really sure if the image on the homepage works that great. what do you all think? any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Simple can often work, allowing your portfolio to speak for itself. I would, however add ‘something’ that makes your page stand out, an element that would entice a visitor past the first page. I think the page could do with being centered and I agree the background image is a little bland. ---

i also think u should center it and also do something different on the menu. i dont know what…it just seems …kind of unprofessional right now. ---

Yeah I agree with the others… It lacks that something which could make it more memorable - I’ll call it the ‘mojo’! 🙂 ---

hello all thanks for all the comments - i appreciate it! 🙂 i guess i need to go back to the drawing board and work on it a whole lot more - or maybe just come up with something entirely different. many of the nice websites have good imagery / graphics -which is the one thing i lack a lot of and in some cases don’t know enough to create something similar. as for flash - i am probably going to try to perfect a regular site first before doing anything else in flash… DesignApp- thanks for the sample links - they should help provide me with some new ideas. i’ll send you that PM when I do get something better up and running. 🙂 ---

if you need photography, go to [www.istockphoto.com](http://www.istockphoto.com) and invest a bit for good photo… if you want free on… go to www.sxc.hu… most of their photo are free, just make sure you read if the photographer required you to contact them before using the photo… nearly most of the time, if you contact them… they will allow you to use it… cheers man… ---
