# My text button doesn't work

i posted another topic a couple days ago about this but it’s long gone now and i didn’t really get a thourough answer to my question, just the solution… so i don’t know what i was doing wrong.

i made some text in flash then converted it into a button (wolfgate in the fla). i then applied a geturl action to it. but in my published movie, my text isn’t clickable, it stays as text, not a button. [here is the fla]([http://www.r-and-bfabricating.com/home](http://www.r-and-bfabricating.com/home) and garden.fla) i’m sure this is easy to resolve, but could someone please explain to me what i am doing wrong and how to solve it, rather than giving me the resolved fla. thanks in advance 🙂

well if u go in the button there is nothing in there…yup nothing so you have a button with nothing to click on so u should go check and add what you need

you made your button a graphic. and why did u make it dynamic text? dynamic is only when that text is goign to be changed.

in that fla i didn’t put any action onto the button. either way, when i do, the text is still text and not a button… i put this script onto the button:  
on(release) {  
geturl(“theaddress”, “\_new”),  
}

i highlighted the entire wolfgate timeline and applied it onto the button, but still… it’s text…
