# Navigation for a newb

I’m having trouble creating the navigation feature in this tutorial :

I’m attempting to follow the same format on my own site.  
I don’t get why it has a blank movie clip, and when i try to click on my buttons it just highlights them like text. Could anyone be of assistance to make it easier to understand
