# Need help for checking direction movement of cards

hi friends,  
i am having a problem if anyone could help would be great…  
i am using onpress startdrag and on mousemove if the \_y position of the current card ie equal to the \_ypos of the next card the next card will move on to the prev y this works well with one col of 4 cards but when I add more columns moving one card from one col over a card of the other col causes problems. I want to know if this mouse movement detection could be used in making such an application… link below was given by [glosrfc](http://www.kirupa.com/forum/member.php?u=33826)  
Or could it be done some other way  
I would very much appreciate a reply…
