# Need help with loading a swf using AS2, please

I wanted to thank all that takes the time to help beginners like me.  
After reading through info and tutorials, here’s what I’m dealing with:  
Using  
loadMovieNum(“pic1.swf”, 1);  
I can see a new window opening and showing the pic1.swf (a test file)  
when I try to use the photo slide show I’m trying to open pic2.swf, all I get is a white small window. I get no errors reported.  
I attached an archive with the files I’m using.  
My questions are:  
are big differences between .swf files that will make some play and some not?  
should I use other way to open pic2.swf?  
the program that created pic2 asks to insert the following code, unfortunatelly didn’t work either, same white small window:  
(I had to delete the stuff that is underlined because I was getting errors “unexpected” something)

all the files are on the same folder and I’m using flash cs4 AS2
